Today we finally finished our figure 8 challenge. There were a lot of trial and errors but making tweaks to the programming and our battery usage helped us get to the finish line. In the two pictures we are getting ready to put the arm on our robot for our next challenge by readjusting our placements of the battery and cortex. We also did a recheck of our screws, wheels, and motors to see if anything needed to be replaced.

Today we worked once again on programming our robot. We had some issues, which were that the battery voltage would wear down effecting the speed of the robot. The solution was just we had to charge it fully and use our second battery while waiting. The first picture we're changing our code to work with the challenge. The second picture is us setting up the robot to do the figure 8.

Nicolle and I finished putting together almost all of our robot since today's the deadline for it. She learned how to properly assemble parts of the robot together since she was having a bit of a struggle with it. For now, we mostly have to focus on properly programming our robot so it conducts the perfect figure 8 command. We also finished making it on Solid works.

We were having issue with our programming which was: our battery would affect the "coding" of the robot, so it wouldn't do the figure 8. Sergio was there for moral support in case we needed help with anything (more like he was just there, chilling). Arianna and Nicolle were still working on putting the assemblies of our robot together on SolidWorks.

Arianna and I focused on trying to assemble the parts for our robot on SolidWorks. While Fiona fixed programming issues for our robot, we tried to research some videos that could help us put our robot together. We already have all the files converted to parts, all we need is to put them together. 😀

Today we worked on collecting all the parts to make a model of our vex robot. We now have a file of all the parts ready to be assembled. Next we continued working on the programming for our vex robot to make a figure 8 on its own. Lastly, we are looking to find or creating something to hold our wires down to keep them from getting caught in the motors.

We worked on programming our robot but we came across some issues. Both motors are set to the same speed yet one of them, the right motor, goes faster causing the robot to drift to the left affecting our program. We also 3-D printed a license plate with our team name on it and Fiona attached it to our robot; it's gray and we colored the letters black.
