Nothing new has really happened. Nicolle and Arianna have their certification tomorrow morning so they're practicing one last time before they take the test. I'm still working on building this 3D printer and we should be finishing the printer by tomorrow.

This is the SolidWorks model of our robot; it was put together by Ms. Fiona. She worked on these things while Arianna and I are still preparing for our exam next week. Since we changed nothing about our robot since our last model of square bot, Fiona simply downloaded and added the parts for the arm.

We finished the Tetrahedron challenge the day before (5-10-18). Today we mostly focused on working on blogs and adding whatever we were missing since it was the end of the week. Fiona edited and added pictures while I worked on SolidWorks for the certification retake in two weeks. The next step is to build the claw for the arm so we can do the following challenge. 👍

(Done by Arianna)

Tooddaaayy we stole a half done tetrahedron that no one was using and finished it with the straws we brought in (we also made a second one) like shown in the first picture. We figured out how to put the program on Stevebot (What we named our robot). We also did some major practicing for the challenge which we did complete on like the second try but still. Now we're moving on to the autonomous.

(This was done by Arianna)

Today we finished our arm on our square bot. Our wires were a MESS so we decided to do some wire management. It was hard trying to find an effect way to keep them in place so we used tape which worked pretty well. It was also hard trying to find a place to neatly put the wires so they wouldn't be in the way. But we FINALLY got it.

Today we started the assembly of our robot. We installed the gears needed for our arm to move and we attached our arm to the rails. We are working towards adding a claw to our arm. Also we started doing research, based off of previous blogs, on the programming stage of our project.

Today we started to go through old blogs to understand how we wanted to set up our soon to be clawbot. We tested different placements of the rails. Also, we started to assemble our robot. We put on our motor and built our arm.

Today we finally finished our figure 8 challenge. There were a lot of trial and errors but making tweaks to the programming and our battery usage helped us get to the finish line. In the two pictures we are getting ready to put the arm on our robot for our next challenge by readjusting our placements of the battery and cortex. We also did a recheck of our screws, wheels, and motors to see if anything needed to be replaced.

Today we worked once again on programming our robot. We had some issues, which were that the battery voltage would wear down effecting the speed of the robot. The solution was just we had to charge it fully and use our second battery while waiting. The first picture we're changing our code to work with the challenge. The second picture is us setting up the robot to do the figure 8.
