Today we worked on virtual worlds as a team. We worked to see how many badges we could collect before the end of the period; the total we had to collect was 40 badges. In all we managed to collect 19 badges by the end of class. Since we all couldn't get badges from the same world, we had to try different worlds to find one that would help us some.

Today we worked on creating our license plate on the program SolidWorks. Next class we plan to print the plate so that we can attach it to our robot. Also, today we worked on programming our robot. We are to have it conduct a figure 8 on its own. We have finished the first loop of the figure and are working on the rest.

We programmed today! We had a little help from our Senior friend Sergio; he gave us some useful tips when coding the robot's movements. As seen in the video above, we were all nerding out as we watched our little creation roll to action. 😆

Today we completely finished building our robot. Mr. Martin suggested we add some battery holders to help keep our battery in place and we also got rid of the top part of our design. It's running a lot smoothly now that we fixed some minor issues in the gear section since it was affecting how the wheels move. A lot of progress done today. 👍😀

While Fiona continued working on looking for all the SolidWorks parts, Arianna and I finish putting together our robot. We had to take part of it apart since we couldn't get the Vex Cortex Microcontroller to fit. As we did this we hit a few bumps on the road as we realized that one of our motors had a wiring issue. 😞

We looked for the solid works parts for our robot. We finished our bios for our blog. Mr. Martin wasn't here and we had a substitute so we weren't really allowed to work on robot building, but we did bring in a lock to secure our cart.👍 (We were done about 5 min. before the bell rang and we were being silly)

Today we started our blog page. We also started to find and download the parts for our claw robot. All the while making our bios.
